Eyesalve: I Can’t Get Enough

By | Eyesalve

“The horseleach hath two daughters, crying, Give, give. There are three things that are never satisfied, yea, four things say not, It is enough: 16The grave; and the barren womb; the earth that is not filled with water; and the fire that saith not, It is enough.” Pro. 30:15-16

John the Baptist said there is one coming after him that will baptize us in the Holy Ghost and fire. This baptism of fire means a couple things; a fire that refines us, and a fire that makes us zealous for God. So with that said, I pray that we all have that fire that says I can’t get enough, I want more of God.

Eyesalve: Eye Salve

By | Eyesalve

“I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see.” Rev. 3:18

Eyesalve does no good if you don’t put it on.

Eyesalve: Read The WORD

By | Eyesalve

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” Jn. 1:1

I don’t know if this verse has really been grasped as it should. In simple terms, the word of God, our bibles, and Christ are the same. You cannot separate the two. Of course when we get to heaven there will not be a bible sitting on the right hand of the Father, it will be Jesus, but understand that He is the word in person. The bible is given to us so we can have God in a simple form. The most subtle way that the devil can get you lost and bound again is to distract you from the Word of God. He may even encourage you to read a lot of Christian books or encourage you to participate in what seems to be spiritual labors (an endless list of ministries). You may ask, what is wrong with that? Christian books and ministries have their place in the believer’s life. But here is what can happen. As you get more and more preoccupied with other books and get more involved in spiritual works, it don’t take long and you can start to get comfortable with not reading your bible (not reading your Christ). Then eventually what will happen when you do pick it up to read it, you will lose your ability to understand it for you have lost your sensitivity to the pure word of God. So saint of God, you must always keep the bible in the center of your life for what else will sustain life better than the book of life.

Eyesalve: City of Truth?

By | Eyesalve

“Thus saith the LORD; I am returned unto Zion, and will dwell in the midst of Jerusalem: and Jerusalem shall be called a city of truth; and the mountain of the LORD of hosts the holy mountain.” Zech 8:3

The politicians here in America have lost the ability to tell the truth. I know that is a major frustration to many of us. Zechariah tells us what is going to make Jerusalem to be called the city of truth, is when the LORD returns to that city and dwells among the people. The only way any city or nation can be called a city or nation of truth is when the Lord is there dwelling among the people. America has rejected God and therefore has no ability to be a truthful nation. Pray that Americans repent and turn back to God, and that truth will go marching on.

Eyesalve: Jesus Gives Grace #3

By | Eyesalve

“For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.” Jn. 1;17

Thank God for the law for it shows us how much we need grace. Here is a quote from a minister friend of mine. “The Law in the old covenant was written on stone to show us our need for a Savior. Grace in the new covenant writes the law on our hearts to love our Sanctifier.”

Eyesalve: Jesus Gives Grace #2

By | Eyesalve

“For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.” Jn. 1:17

A brother responded to yesterday’s Eyesalve with a quote that he had heard. Here it is. “With the Law, the sheep died for the shepherd; with Grace, the Shepherd died for the sheep.”

Eyesalve: Jesus Gives Grace

By | Eyesalve

“For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.” Jn 1:17

Man, given the choice, will preach the law, try to keep the law and even add some more laws. This is an outright reproach and insult to Jesus Christ who gives grace.

Eyesalve: Overcomers

By | Eyesalve

“And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.” Rev. 12:11

There truly is “power in the blood,” and the testimony of how God saved us and what He did for us cannot be denied. Who can tell you that what God did for you isn’t true when you know it is. You just know that you know that you know. And then our ability to overcome concludes with not loving our life unto death. When you reckon yourself dead, you don’t fear death. When you reckon yourself crucified, sin and temptation have no power over you. “…but, whosoever will loses his life for my sake, the same shall save it.”

Eyesalve: Satan Cannot Win

By | Eyesalve

“And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. 10And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night. 11And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.” Rev. 12:9-11

Satan was overcome in heaven and he can be overcome on earth. Not by all, but by those that have the kingdom of heaven in their heart. Satan cannot overcome where God’s kingdom is.

Eyesalve: All Believe What is True

By | Uncategorized

“And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.” Rev. 12-9

The unredeemed inhabitants of this world all have one thing in common; there is one thing that unites them all; they are deceived by the devil. They all believe what is false. This should teach us believers that we should have one thing in common that unites us, we are enlightened to the truth. We must all believe what is true.
