Eyesalve: Conquered Soul
“And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit.” I Cor. 15:45
The devil uses the soul to conquer the spirit. God uses the spirit to conquer the soul.

Eyesalve: Live By The Word
“But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.” Mt. 4:4
Jesus said that Christians can be known by their fruit. You can know about yourself and where you are at with Christ by the presence or absence of true Holy Spirit fruit. But even a greater way to know if you are a true believer is if you have a love for the word of God. Only true believers love and hold to the word of God. It is what real believers “live by.”

Eyesalve: Will The Community Tremble?
“And Samuel did that which the LORD spake, and came to Bethlehem. And the elders of the town trembled at his coming, and said, Comest thou peaceably?” I Sam 16:4
How I long for the day when the church will cause their community to tremble. As long as we keep on coming to them with a song and dance; as long as we can’t even be faithful to walk in what we say we believe this world will just roll their eyes at us. Come on church, will you rise up and believe God for revival?

Eyesalve: Profit Them All
“But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal. 8For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit; 9 To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit; 10 To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues:” I Cor. 12:7-10
These gifts will never operate in the church as they should until the saints understand that these gifts aren’t for them to impress others with but they are for the sake of the brethren, to profit them all.

Eyesalve: Glorify God
“Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.” I Cor 10:31
The heavens declare the glory of God. But there is another vessel God has created for the purpose of declaring His glory; that vessel is His church. Yes, we are commissioned to make disciples of all nations, yes we are commanded to love our enemies, but the greatest reason the church exists is to glorify God. If we can accomplish that all those other things will fall in the right place.

Eyesalve: Not Sleeping Yet
“And the child Samuel ministered unto the LORD before Eli. And the word of the LORD was precious in those days; there was no open vision. 2And it came to pass at that time, when Eli was laid down in his place, and his eyes began to wax dim, that he could not see; 3And ere the lamp of God went out in the temple of the LORD, where the ark of God was, and Samuel was laid down to sleep; 4That the LORD called Samuel: and he answered, Here am I.” I Sam 3:1-4
I believe verse one is translated better to say that the word of God was rare in those days, which of course made it precious. Verse one also speaks of a lack of revelation of the Lord. Sounds pretty familiar to our generation doesn’t it? Well Eli’s eyes started to grow heavy but he did not fall asleep YET. The eyes of the church have grown heavy but she did not fall asleep yet. God called Samuel before Eli fell asleep, God is calling you to rise up and get a revelation of Christ before the church falls asleep. Let God use you to stir and quicken His church.

Eyesalve: Balanced Christians
“Wherefore I take you to record this day, that I am pure from the blood of all men. 27For I have not shunned to declare unto you all the counsel of God.” Acts 20:26-27
What made Paul innocent from the blood of all men? He preached the WHOLE COUNSEL of God. Not just his favorite topic, not just one aspect of God, not just a certain style of preaching, but the whole truth. Balanced preaching and teaching gives Christians a good balance.

Eyesalve: Kinsmen Redeemer
“And Naomi said unto her daughter in law, Blessed be he of the LORD, who hath not left off his kindness to the living and to the dead. And Naomi said unto her, The man is near of kin unto us, one of our next kinsmen.” Ruth 2:20
According to the law a kinsman could redeem someone they were related to. This kinsmen redeemer is a type of Christ. However, there is a difference between the kinsmen redeemer and Christ our Redeemer. In regard to the kinsmen redeemer, the redeeming must come from a kin or relation, with Christ our Redeemer, Christ redeems us and makes us His kin. Hallelujah, we are related to God.

Eyesalve: When The Miracle Ceases
“And the manna ceased on the day after they ate of the produce of the land; and the Israelites had manna no more, but they ate of the fruit of the land of Canaan that year.” Jos. 5:12
Many of those Israelites that made it to the Promised Land grew up only knowing manna, God’s provision, falling from heaven. They could have easily taken the manna for granted. The day it ceased may very well have been the day that some of them really saw God’s hand of provision like they never saw it before. The miracle for them wasn’t to see the daily manna but to see the manna cease. Just because God removes something from your life doesn’t mean He doesn’t care for you anymore, He may just be bringing you to a place where you readjust your vision and really see His hand of blessing in your life.

Eyesalve: David Wasn’t Taking Armor Off
“And David girded his sword upon his armor, and he attempted to go; for he had not proved it. And David said unto Saul, I cannot go with these; for I have not proved them. And David put them off him.” I Sam. 17:39
David wasn’t taking Saul’s armor off he was putting God’s armor on. He was putting on dependence and trust in the Lord alone.
