Eyesalve: Let Righteousness Spring Up

By | Evangelism, Eyesalve | No Comments

Drop down, ye heavens, from above, and let the skies pour down righteousness: let the earth open, and let them bring forth salvation, and let righteousness spring up together; I the LORD have created it.” Isaiah 45:8

Even if you have been a believer for several decades, it doesn’t hurt to be reminded again the heavenly order. First, let hearts be open to salvation, then let righteousness spring up. The order has never changed, first is salvation then comes righteousness. Man can never through righteousness obtain salvation.

Eyesalve: Whom We Preach

By | Evangelism, Eyesalve | No Comments

To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory: 28Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus:” Colossians 1:27-28

I will not deny that the Bible tells us to preach the gospel. But to preach the gospel is more than proclaiming what the bible says. Verse 28 starts by saying, “Whom we preach.” The gospel isn’t just preaching what Jesus said, but it is preaching Jesus.

Eyesalve: In Your City

By | Evangelism, Eyesalve | No Comments

“And he said unto him, Behold now, there is in this city a man of God, and he is an honourable man; all that he saith cometh surely to pass: now let us go thither; peradventure he can shew us our way that we should go.” I Samuel 9:6

You can make it possible that it could be said about the city you live in that there is in your city a man or woman of God who is honorable.

Eyesalve: One Time Foreigners

And Ruth said, Intreat me not to leave thee, or to return from following after thee: for whither thou goest, I will go; and where thou lodgest, I will lodge: thy people shall be my people, and thy God my God:” Ruth 1:16

Ruth was a foreigner to Judah and their one true God. Yet she insisted that their God would be her God. God received Ruth. She was King David’s Great Grandmother and she was a part of the lineage of Jesus. Hallelujah! Rejoice saints, though we were at one time foreigners, God let us have Him for our God.

Eyesalve: Don’t Know

By | Evangelism, Eyesalve | No Comments

“For as I was passing through and considering the objects of your worship, I even found an altar with this inscription: TO THE UNKNOWN GOD. Therefore, the One whom you worship without knowing, Him I proclaim to you:”(NKJV) Acts 17:23

It’s not too much different today. People are trying to worship a God they do not know.

Eyesalve: Will You

By | Evangelism, Eyesalve | No Comments

Neither shall ye profane my holy name; but I will be hallowed among the children of Israel: I am the LORD which hallow you, 33That brought you out of the land of Egypt, to be your God: I am the LORD.” Leviticus 22:32-33

God saved you from your bondage so He could be your God. Will you let Him?

Eyesalve: The Power of God

By | Evangelism, Eyesalve | No Comments

That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.” II Corinthians 2:5

Many in this generation, who claim to have become a Christian, lack a power encounter with the Lord. Salvation is radical. Man goes from darkness to light, from death to life. But for many so called believers, their conversion is ho hum. The problem is with the church. Instead of depending on the power of God to bring people to saving faith, they trust in their own wisdom and ability. How can a person have a power encounter when there is no power to encounter?

Eyesalve: Help Us To Hear

By | Evangelism, Eyesalve | No Comments

And they came to Jericho: and as he went out of Jericho with his disciples and a great number of people, blind Bartimaeus, the son of Timaeus, sat by the highway side begging. 47And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out, and say, Jesus, thou Son of David, have mercy on me. 48And many charged him that he should hold his peace: but he cried the more a great deal, Thou Son of David, have mercy on me.” Mark 10:46-48

Lord, help us to hear every person who cries out to see spiritual things.

Eyesalve: Such Preaching

By | Evangelism, Eyesalve | No Comments

Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do?” Acts 2:37

We need such preaching again that cuts the heart of people so they ask “what shall we do,” instead of “what can I still do and be a Christian?”
