“And Boaz answered and said unto her, It hath fully been shewed me, all that thou hast done unto thy mother in law since the death of thine husband: and how thou hast left thy father and thy mother, and the land of thy nativity, and art come unto a people which thou knewest not heretofore.” Ruth 2:11
Every true believer, whether it happened to them physically or not, had to determine in their heart to leave their father and mother and their land, and become a part of a family that they did not know. This new family is the body of Christ, the church of the living God.
“And when the seventh month was come, and the children of Israel were in the cities, the people gathered themselves together as one man to Jerusalem.” Ezra 3:1
Our generation will begin to understand what the church really is when the believers gather themselves together as one man. That one man must be Christ.
“And Jesus answering said unto him, Suffer it to be so now: for thus it becometh us to fulfil all righteousness. Then he suffered him. 16And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him: 17And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.” Matthew 3:15-17
In this setting we read that Jesus spoke, the Spirit landed on Jesus and the Father spoke. This is the greatest testimony of three this world has ever known.
