“And Dinah the daughter of Leah, which she bare unto Jacob, went out to see the daughters of the land. 2And when Shechem the son of Hamor the Hivite, prince of the country, saw her, he took her, and lay with her, and defiled her.” Gen. 34:1-2
The church for the most part suffers persecution because the world hates her, but not always. Just as Shechem was attracted to Dinah so much that he defiled her, some people are attracted to the church. The church has good things to offer, family values, practical biblical teachings and most of all love and friendship. But if the people aren’t there because they love Christ, they are there to defile the church.
