“For what if some did not believe? shall their unbelief make the faith of God without effect?” Romans 3:3
Here is another question, Shall their unbelief make you not believe? Let it not be so. Be strong in your faith saints of God.
“…Anoint your eyes with eye salve, that you may see.” Revelation 3:18
Eye Salve is a short devotional that Pastor Terry Fischer writes regularly to challenge and encourage the saints of God.
It is meant to be short and sweet and comes from his daily reading and prayer.
“For what if some did not believe? shall their unbelief make the faith of God without effect?” Romans 3:3
Here is another question, Shall their unbelief make you not believe? Let it not be so. Be strong in your faith saints of God.
“When Jesus heard these things, He marveled at him, and turned around and said to the crowd that followed Him, “I say to you, I have not found such great faith, not even in Israel!” Luke 7:9
Come on saints of God, let’s rise up in this hour and have such faith in God that it would cause Jesus to marvel.
“And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.” Joshua 24:15
No matter what side of the river you are on, there will be idols there to allure you. They will not leave. So you have no choice but to make up your mind who you and your house will serve. (Fill in the blank) As for me and my house we will __________________. AMEN
“For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock.” Acts 20:29
Wolves also know how to produce offspring after them. They have since the days of the early church and still are today. One day we will never have to deal with wolves, but until then, beware they are still around.
“For I have not shunned to declare unto you all the counsel of God.” Acts 20:27
This scripture is the very reason that I am careful not to be a pastor who is always over promoting a favorite doctrine or topic. If the physical body needs well balanced meals how much more does the body of Christ need a WHOLE meal of the word of God.
“Save that the Holy Ghost witnesseth in every city, saying that bonds and afflictions abide me.” Acts 20:23
I wonder how many of us would decide to quit our walk with the Lord if we were told that the only thing we can be sure awaits us in the coming days is bonds and afflictions. Paul stayed faithful, even though he knew what lay in store for him. The secret to his victory is found in the next verse. He did not find his life dear to him.
“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.” Romans 10:9
There is no better way for the unsaved to believe that God raised Jesus from the dead than to see Him raised in you.
“Whosoever he be that doth rebel against thy commandment, and will not hearken unto thy words in all that thou commandest him, he shall be put to death: only be strong and of a good courage.” Joshua 1:18
This is the fourth time in chapter one of Joshua that the command is given to be strong and of good courage. Notice this is a command from God. A person may think, how can you command someone to be courageous if they have fear? Can you just command the fear away? No you can’t, but if you are willing to just obey what God tells you to do, you will be acting in courage. If you are going to fear anything, fear the consequences of not obeying God.
