Eyesalve: Don’t Help Him

By | Eyesalve

And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.” Revelation 12:10

There is one who accuses each of us before God, let’s not help him with that. Don’t help him accuse your brethren. Don’t help him accuse you.

Eyesalve: To Be Encouraged

By | Eyesalve

And his servants came near, and spake unto him, and said, My father, if the prophet had bid thee do some great thing, wouldest thou not have done it? how much rather then, when he saith to thee, Wash, and be clean?” II Kings 5:13

It is a wonderful thing, when we have those moments of doubt, to be encouraged by the brethren to believe God.

Eyesalve: His God and our God

By | Eyesalve

Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God.” Jn. 20:17

Did you get what Jesus is saying here? His Father is our Father, His God is our God. Jesus is saying we have the same connection and privilege to the Father as He does. How awesome is that? Be encouraged today my brethren.

Eyesalve: What Kind of Watchmen

By | Eyesalve

Son of man, speak to the children of thy people, and say unto them, When I bring the sword upon a land, if the people of the land take a man of their coasts, and set him for their watchman: 3If when he seeth the sword come upon the land, he blow the trumpet, and warn the people; 4Then whosoever heareth the sound of the trumpet, and taketh not warning; if the sword come, and take him away, his blood shall be upon his own head.” Eze. 33:2-4

Though voting isn’t a principle for selecting ministers, we do all in a sense select ministers to be watchmen over our lives. I fear many believers are very casual about this and just attend a particular church out of convenience or social connections instead of the assurance that there are men of God watching over the souls of the brethren. What kind of watchmen do you have watching over your life?

Eyesalve Don’t Feel Hurt, Get A Burden

By | Eyesalve

And the LORD said unto Samuel, Hearken unto the voice of the people in all that they say unto thee: for they have not rejected thee, but they have rejected me, that I should not reign over them.” I Sam. 8:7

Whenever you stand unwavering for the truth you will face rejection. The rejection that will be the hardest to deal with is when that rejection comes from those who consider themselves Christians. It is hard for any Christian to have to face this kind of rejection. It often leads to hurt feelings that can fester into bitterness. However, if you always remember that when other believers reject you for holding to the truth, they are not rejecting you, but God. I pray that we don’t consider our own hurt feelings, but instead get a burden for our brethren and go before the Lord in prayer for them.

Eyesalve: Be A Gift

By | Eyesalve

“For I am in a strait betwixt two, having a desire to depart, and to be with Christ; which is far better: 24Nevertheless to abide in the flesh is more needful for you.” Ph’p 1:23-24

There are, no doubt, proud Christians that think they are God’s gift to the church. Yet, each one of us is supposed to be a gift to the church. We all need to be like Paul and be able to say it is better for you that I am here with you. It sounds so proud to say that, but it doesn’t have to be. With all humility, be a gift to your brethren.

Eyesalve: They Will Believe it This Time

By | Eyesalve

“And Joseph said unto his brethren, I am Joseph; doth my father yet live? And his brethren could not answer him; for they were troubled at his presence.” Gen. 45:3

Joseph is a type of Jesus Christ in that one day Jesus will reveal himself to the Jewish people, His brethren, and say, I am Jesus, your savior. This time, they will believe Him and receive Him.
