Eyesalve: Good Soil

By | Eyesalve

But he that received seed into the good ground is he that heareth the word, and understandeth it; which also beareth fruit, and bringeth forth, some an hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.” Matthew 13:23

Some may ask, “What if I am not good ground?” Understand this, you are responsible for the kind of ground you are. How do you make your ground good? The answer is you must hear the word and understand it. To understand it starts with wanting to understand it and live it. Then the Holy Spirit will then open your eyes to the word and you will be good soil.

Eyesalve: Teaching Every Man

By | Eyesalve

To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory: 28Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus:” Col. 1:27-28

It was Paul’s great desire to present believers “perfect in Christ Jesus.” Though most Christians do not have a call to shepherd God’s flock, each of us should have the same desire toward one another, to see each other presented perfect in Christ. We all, whether ministers or not, can participate in this work of perfecting others. How? Preach Jesus Christ. Preach Him by living for Him, preach Him by letting Him be seen in your life.

Eyesalve: The Blood of Men

By | Eyesalve

Wherefore I take you to record this day, that I am pure from the blood of all men. 27For I have not shunned to declare unto you all the counsel of God.” Acts 20:26-27

Paul was pure from the blood of all men. The main reason is that he preached the whole counsel of God. The ear tickling preachers of our day, who preach what the people want to hear, are not be able to say that they are pure from the blood of men. To bring this to a more personal level, do you believe and live the whole counsel of God. Do you believe the whole bible? Do you believe it is all for today? You may believe a good portion of it, but that is not sufficient, you must believe, live and preach the WHOLE counsel of God.

Eyesalve: Build Upon The Foundation

By | Eyesalve

“And they that went in, went in male and female of all flesh, as God had commanded him: and the LORD shut him in.” Gen. 7:16

Chapter 6 of Genesis ends with, “Thus did Noah; according to all that God commanded him, so did he.” Two more times in chapter 7 it says the same thing of Noah that he did what God commanded him. You can see that Noah was a very obedient man. I guess you could say he didn’t have much choice, obey, build and live or disobey, don’t build and die. Noah built the very thing that saved Him. So too with us, as we obey, we build upon the foundation of our very own salvation, our Ark, Jesus Christ.
