Forbid Them

“Now when the adversaries of Judah and Benjamin heard that the children of the captivity builded the temple unto the LORD God of Israel; 2Then they came to Zerubbabel, and to the chief of the fathers, and said unto them, Let us build with you: for we seek your God, as ye do; and we do sacrifice unto him since the days of Esarhaddon king of Assur, which brought us up hither. 3But Zerubbabel, and Jeshua, and the rest of the chief of the fathers of Israel, said unto them, Ye have nothing to do with us to build an house unto our God; but we ourselves together will build unto the LORD God of Israel, as king Cyrus the king of Persia hath commanded us.” Ezra 4:1-3

 

For too long, the church has allowed the world to build with her. We have adopted their programs and techniques, and have adopted their psychology. It’s time to repent of this and forbid them to build with us any longer. We must let Jesus to continue to build His church.

Is There Not A God?

“And they said unto him, There came a man up to meet us, and said unto us, Go, turn again unto the king that sent you, and say unto him, Thus saith the LORD, Is it not because there is not a God in Israel, that thou sendest to enquire of Baalzebub the god of Ekron? therefore thou shalt not come down from that bed on which thou art gone up, but shalt surely die.” II kings 1:6

 

Though it may not be Baalzebub that you turn to, anytime you turn to any other source, be it people, programs, resources and such, instead of God, it could be asked; “Is it not because there is not a God” in America? Is not Almighty God the source of all your needs?

Eyesalve: A Terror To Thyself

“For thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will make thee a terror to thyself, and to all thy friends: and they shall fall by the sword of their enemies, and thine eyes shall behold it: and I will give all Judah into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he shall carry them captive into Babylon, and shall slay them with the sword.” Jeremiah 20:4

 

If our present day ministers don’t knock it off with all their strategies, techniques and programs to build the church instead of depending on the leading and the power of the Holy Spirit, they will become “a terror to thyself.” They will see the church they have built and gloried in, fall apart right before their eyes. The only thing that will remain is that which was founded on the Rock.

Eyesalve: God Looks For the Broken (2)

“For thus saith the high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity, whose name is Holy; I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones.” Isaiah 57:15

 

It is our tendency to try to fix or even throw away broken things. Our society for the most part just throws money and programs at broken people to get them out of their hair. The only answer for broken people is Almighty God. Brokenness is His specialty. He takes broken lives and makes them better than brand new.
