“By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.” John 13:35
You wouldn’t think people who were redeemed and set free from their sin by love, would find this that hard to accomplish.

“These things understood not his disciples at the first: but when Jesus was glorified, then remembered they that these things were written of him, and that they had done these things unto him.” John 12:16
Our understanding of the word of God will be impaired if the Lord is not glorified in our life.
“But the chief priests consulted that they might put Lazarus also to death;” John 12:10
Don’t let the devil put to death your testimony.
“Then took Mary a pound of ointment of spikenard, very costly, and anointed the feet of Jesus, and wiped his feet with her hair: and the house was filled with the odour of the ointment.” John 12:3
Our worship services will be filled with an aroma of Christ if we can give our all and humble ourselves at the feet of Jesus.
“But he that received seed into the good ground is he that heareth the word, and understandeth it; which also beareth fruit, and bringeth forth, some an hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.” Matthew 13:23
Some may ask, “What if I am not good ground?” Understand this, you are responsible for the kind of ground you are. How do you make your ground good? The answer is you must hear the word and understand it. To understand it starts with wanting to understand it and live it. Then the Holy Spirit will then open your eyes to the word and you will be good soil.
“A virtuous woman is a crown to her husband: but she that maketh ashamed is as rottenness in his bones.” Proverbs 12:4
Saints, we the bride of Christ can either be a crown for His head or rottenness in His bones. Let us not concern ourselves with the crowns we will receive, but instead concern ourselves with the crown we must be for the Lord’s head. Those other crowns will then be a lot more attainable.
“And if any man think that he knoweth any thing, he knoweth nothing yet as he ought to know.” I Corinthians 8:2
Some people may think they know God because they think about God. In a brief search I did not find a verse in the bible that encourages us to think about God. I know we are to meditate on His word. People may think about God often, but it is better to be with God. I think about my wife the most when I am away from her. When I am with her, I don’t think about her, I enjoy her.
“A Song of degrees of David. LORD, my heart is not haughty, nor mine eyes lofty: neither do I exercise myself in great matters, or in things too high for me.” Psalm 131:1
There are many things in the word of God that are too high for us. Sometimes we can get revelation of those things. Some things we may never get until we go to glory. It is the proud who insist on searching out those things too high for us and they go on to argue the word instead of minister the word.
“Labour not for the meat which perisheth, but for that meat which endureth unto everlasting life, which the Son of man shall give unto you: for him hath God the Father sealed.” John 6:27
Who does the Father seal? Those who eat the meat which “endureth unto everlasting life.”
“When Jesus then lifted up his eyes, and saw a great company come unto him, he saith unto Philip, Whence shall we buy bread, that these may eat? 6And this he said to prove him: for he himself knew what he would do.” John 6:5-6
You can be certain that there are times, though you may not hear Him audibly, that God is asking you a question. Of course He don’t ask because He doesn’t know the answer, He asks to see if you trust Him with the answer.
