Eyesalve: The Seeker Sensitive Church

By | Uncategorized

And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.” Jeremiah 29:13

For many years now, I have been working at having a seeker sensitive church. A church where every true seeker of God will be encouraged to be more sensitive to the Spirit of God.

Eyesalve: Do The Same

By | Eyesalve

Ye call me Master and Lord: and ye say well; for so I am. 14If I then, your Lord and Master, have washed your feet; ye also ought to wash one another’s feet. 15For I have given you an example, that ye should do as I have done to you.” John 13:13-15

Some people use their authority for personal gain. Some use it to exalt themselves. Some use it to control people. Jesus used it to teach how to serve. Help me, Oh Lord, do the same.

Eyesalve: There is One Who is There

By | Eyesalve

Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.” Romans 8:34

In the last Eyesalve, we saw that the Devil goes before God, day and night, to accuse us. Be encouraged saints because there is also One there on your behalf. He is sitting on the right hand of the Father. He is Jesus Christ the righteous. Jesus is there interceding for you and for me. Hallelujah.

Eyesalve: Don’t Help Him

By | Eyesalve

And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.” Revelation 12:10

There is one who accuses each of us before God, let’s not help him with that. Don’t help him accuse your brethren. Don’t help him accuse you.

Eyesalve: We Get to Open His Book

By | Eyesalve

And I saw in the right hand of him that sat on the throne a book written within and on the backside, sealed with seven seals. 2And I saw a strong angel proclaiming with a loud voice, Who is worthy to open the book, and to loose the seals thereof? 3And no man in heaven, nor in earth, neither under the earth, was able to open the book, neither to look thereon. 4And I wept much, because no man was found worthy to open and to read the book, neither to look thereon. 5And one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Juda, the Root of David, hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof.” Revelation 5:1-5

No one was worthy to open the book and read it or even look upon it except the Lion of Judah, the Lord Jesus Christ. Such disrespect people have for the word of God today. Some open it to mock it, others to find personal gain, but the worst yet is to open it and read it and not believe it. If you are willing, Jesus will open the book, the holy bible for you. What a privilege we have to get to open His book. Hallelujah!

Eyesalve: Thine Are We

By | Eyesalve

Then the spirit came upon Amasai, who was chief of the captains, and he said, Thine are we, David, and on thy side, thou son of Jesse: peace, peace be unto thee, and peace be to thine helpers; for thy God helpeth thee. Then David received them, and made them captains of the band.” I Chronicles 12:18

Any saint of God who has any spiritual sense, will expect their pastor or spiritual leaders to have God’s anointing. As a pastor I want to say that it works the other way as well. I expect those who I shepherd to have the Spirit come on them and convince them that they are with me. (Of course, only as I follow Christ).

Eyesalve: Kind Man

By | Eyesalve

And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.” Ephesians 4:32

As a creature made by God, we are called mankind. As a creature made in the image of God we must each be a kind man.

Eyesalve: Truth Recognizes Truth

By | Eyesalve

This is he that came by water and blood, even Jesus Christ; not by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit that beareth witness, because the Spirit is truth.” I John 5:6

The true remnant last day believers will be identified, not by their tenants or statement of faith that their church has in place, nor by a denomination they may belong to, but by the Spirit of truth. Truth recognizes truth.

Eyesalve: Be Influential

By | Eyesalve

Let him know, that he which converteth the sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins.” James 5:20

I suppose many of us, if we were asked, “is it right for a believer to want to be influential,” would say no. We would think, “we must be humble and stay in the background.” Consider this, each of us need to be influential. As far as humility, we must be humble in our influence. Desire to be influential, so influential that you can convert a sinner from his error and save his soul from death.

Eyesalve: The Response

By | Eyesalve

Is any among you afflicted? let him pray. Is any merry? let him sing psalms. 14Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord:” James 5:13-14

Take note that the response to every one of these situations has to do with trusting in the Lord. If afflicted, pray to God. If you are merry, sing Psalms which is God’s word. If you are sick, call for the men of God who believe the name of Jesus.
