Eyesalve: Are You Departing (#3)

By | Eyesalve

Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;” I Tim. 4:1

Only those who are born again through faith can depart from faith. We believers are warned, that in these last days, there will be Christians who will depart from faith in God. There is not one of us reading this that is beyond falling away. May I encourage you all to strengthen your walk in the Lord? Following are signs that may indicate you are in the process of departing from the faith or already have. (Number 3)

You have no prayer life.

Eyesalve: You Are Privileged

By | Eyesalve

The king cried aloud to bring in the astrologers, the Chaldeans, and the soothsayers. And the king spake, and said to the wise men of Babylon, Whosoever shall read this writing, and shew me the interpretation thereof, shall be clothed with scarlet, and have a chain of gold about his neck, and shall be the third ruler in the kingdom. 8Then came in all the king’s wise men: but they could not read the writing, nor make known to the king the interpretation thereof.” Dan. 5:7-8

It is reserved for those that are born from above to understand that which is written from above. Saint of God, do you understand how privileged you are? It has been given to you to understand the word of God. Take the utmost advantage of that and read it, digest it and let it change your life.

Eyesalve: May Their Knees Knock

By | Eyesalve

In the same hour came forth fingers of a man’s hand, and wrote over against the candlestick upon the plaister of the wall of the king’s palace: and the king saw the part of the hand that wrote. 6Then the king’s countenance was changed, and his thoughts troubled him, so that the joints of his loins were loosed, and his knees smote one against another.” Dan. 5:5-6

It seems few in our society fear anymore what God has written. Sad to say that even some of the church don’t fear what God has written. Lord, reveal the truth of your written word to men that they will tremble and their knees will knock.

Eyesalve: The Law Made Nothing Perfect

By | Eyesalve

For there is verily a disannulling (cancellation) of the commandment going before for the weakness and unprofitableness thereof. 19For the law made nothing perfect, but the bringing in of a better hope did; by the which we draw nigh unto God.” Heb. 7:18-19

Some Christians believe that Jesus cancelled out the law to the point that they no longer have to obey righteousness. The author of Hebrews teaches here that the law was ineffective in its ability to make perfect, so a greater law in a sense cancels out the lesser law. Now, by the power of the Spirit and the law of love, we can be made perfect.

Eyesalve: Back To The Altar #2

By | Eyesalve

Afterward he brought me again unto the door of the house; and, behold, waters issued out from under the threshold of the house eastward: for the forefront of the house stood toward the east, and the waters came down from under from the right side of the house, at the south side of the altar.” Eze. 47:1

The altar is not a location, but it is a condition and position of the heart.

Eyesalve: Back To The Altar

By | Eyesalve

Afterward he brought me again unto the door of the house; and, behold, waters issued out from under the threshold of the house eastward: for the forefront of the house stood toward the east, and the waters came down from under from the right side of the house, at the south side of the altar.” Eze. 47:1

I thank the Lord for the countless times He brought me back to the altar. The altar is where it all started for every believer. It is the place in our heart where we surrendered our life to the Lord. Whenever we get puffed up, whenever we get self-sufficient and self-willed, we must get back to the altar. The altar is the place you go to, to exchange your pride for humility.

Eyesalve: Prophesy to the Bones

By | Eyesalve

The hand of the LORD was upon me, and carried me out in the spirit of the LORD, and set me down in the midst of the valley which was full of bones, 2And caused me to pass by them round about: and, behold, there were very many in the open valley; and, lo, they were very dry.” Ezekiel 37:1-2

According to verse 11 of this same chapter “…Our bones are dried, and our hope is lost:…,” these bones don’t represent dead people they represent a dry hopeless people. Has anyone noticed how dry and hopeless much of the church is today? God carried Ezekiel to this valley for one reason, not to mock the bones, not to condemn the bones, not to look down his nose at them, not to even try to glue them together; God brought him there because He wanted Him to see the state of Israel. Well, if you noticed the dry state of the church, God showed it to you, not for you to mock or condemn, not to look down your nose at them but to share His burden to see His church revived again. If that be you then He wants you to do something about it. First take a big long drink of Living Water so there is no dryness in you. Then “Prophesy upon these bones, and say unto them, O ye dry bones, hear the word of the LORD.” (vs. 4). Don’t give them a song and dance; don’t give them a little pep talk or motivational speech; don’t give them a program to suit their need, but look those dry bones right in the face and say “hear the word of the Lord.” Yes it is preaching that brings those bones back to life. “So I prophesied as he commanded me, and the breath came into them, and they lived, and stood up upon their feet, an exceeding great army.” By the way, that exceeding great army is today’s exceeding great church, the body of Christ. Hallelujah!

Eyesalve: Sunday Morning

By | Eyesalve

Also, thou son of man, the children of thy people still are talking against thee by the walls and in the doors of the houses, and speak one to another, every one to his brother, saying, Come, I pray you, and hear what is the word that cometh forth from the LORD. 31And they come unto thee as the people cometh, and they sit before thee as my people, and they hear thy words, but they will not do them: for with their mouth they shew much love, but their heart goeth after their covetousness.” Eze. 33:30-31

Welcome to church on Sunday mornings in America. Let it not be so for you.
