Eyesalve: Joy is Strength (#2)

By | Eyesalve

Then he said unto them, Go your way, eat the fat, and drink the sweet, and send portions unto them for whom nothing is prepared: for this day is holy unto our Lord: neither be ye sorry; for the joy of the LORD is your strength.” Neh. 8:10

Some Christians are taught that it is unholy or carnal or at least immature to express emotion in church. However, that is the ingredients to a weak church. Consider also that Romans 14:17 teaches us that the kingdom of God is righteousness, peace and JOY in the Holy Ghost. So I guess I can say if the Spirit of God is truly present in our meetings, then it is very normal for joy to be expressed. People that rejoice in Christ are a strong people.

Then he said unto them, Go your way, eat the fat, and drink the sweet, and send portions unto them for whom nothing is prepared: for this day is holy unto our Lord: neither be ye sorry; for the joy of the LORD is your strength.” Neh. 8:10

Some Christians lack strength because they lack joy.

Eyesalve: We Can’t Lose

By | Eyesalve

Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? 36As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. 37Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.” Rom 8:35-37

Who, but Christians, can be in the midst of tribulation, distress, persecution and such and never be the loser?

Eyesalve: We Dare Not

By | Eyesalve

Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the LORD unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts.” Zech. 4:6

Quote from Wesley L. Duewel. “There is no substitute for the power of God. There is no substitute for the Throne of Grace. We dare not be busier than we are blessed. We dare not attempt more than we can saturate with prayer. We dare not be more active than we are anointed. We dare not substitute our training or our brilliance for fire touched glory. We dare not be satisfied with growth without revival. We dare not multiply our projects unless we also multiply the power.”

Eyesalve: It Is Still Through Christ

By | Eyesalve

Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.” Rom. 3:28

As Christians, we are called to good works. What happens after some years of serving the Lord, Christians can subtly start trusting in their good works. I am simply reminding you that good works will never ever justify you, it is still through Christ alone.

Eyesalve: Plenty of Water

By | Eyesalve

And they thirsted not when he led them through the deserts: he caused the waters to flow out of the rock for them: he clave the rock also, and the waters gushed out.” Isa. 48:21

God caused the waters to gush out when Israel crossed the wilderness. You can be sure when you get into those wilderness places God will give you plenty of water, living water.

Eyesalve: It Cannot Answer

By | Eyesalve

They lavish gold out of the bag, and weigh silver in the balance, and hire a goldsmith; and he maketh it a god: they fall down, yea, they worship. 7They bear him upon the shoulder, they carry him, and set him in his place, and he standeth; from his place shall he not remove: yea, one shall cry unto him, yet can he not answer, nor save him out of his trouble.” Isaiah 46:6-7

Many Americans have lost their common sense many years ago. Common sense leaves a man’s mind when he turns away from God. If America repents and turns back to God then there will be a return of common sense. Look at the idol worshippers. Isaiah says they make it out of gold; they bow before it; they carry it on their shoulder and set it in its place. They cry out to it, but do not get an answer. Can man actually loose such sense that he continues to worship something that can never speak to him or help him?

Eyesalve: Not 99 Percent

By | Eyesalve

Wherefore I take you to record this day, that I am pure from the blood of all men. 27For I have not shunned to declare unto you all the counsel of God.” Acts 20:26-27

Paul was pure from the blood of all men. The main reason is that he preached the whole counsel of God. The seeker sensitive preachers of our day that preach what the people want to hear will not stand before God and be able to say that they are pure from the blood of men. To bring this to a more personal level, do you believe and live the whole counsel of God. Do you believe the whole bible? Do you believe it is all for today? You may believe 99 percent of it is today, but that is not the WHOLE counsel.

Eyesalve: Worketh Righteousness

By | Eyesalve

Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons: 35But in every nation he that feareth him, and worketh righteousness, is accepted with him.” Acts 10:34-35

Quite a bit of the Christian church today has a hyper view of grace. They deny that righteous living has any part of our salvation. No doubt they would call the apostle Peter a false teacher because he said that those who “worketh righteousness, is accepted with Him.” Works don’t save, but saved people do works out their salvation with fear and trembling.

Eyesalve: Peace That is Inside Out

By | Eyesalve

Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.” Jn. 14:27

The world’s idea of peace is no war and everyone getting along with their neighbor. The world doesn’t understand that the things they think are peace are really just the results of the inner peace that the Prince of Peace gives. The world tries to bring forth peace from the outside in; God brings forth peace from the inside out. If people are at peace with God then they will have peace with one another.
