“After my words they spake not again; and my speech dropped upon them.” Job 29:22
It is only when a person speaks under the anointing of the Holy Spirit that words will fall heavy upon people.

Eye Salve is a short devotional that Pastor Terry Fischer writes regularly to challenge and encourage the saints of God.
It is meant to be short and sweet and comes from his daily reading and prayer.
“And they came to Jericho: and as he went out of Jericho with his disciples and a great number of people, blind Bartimaeus, the son of Timaeus, sat by the highway side begging. 47And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out, and say, Jesus, thou Son of David, have mercy on me. 48And many charged him that he should hold his peace: but he cried the more a great deal, Thou Son of David, have mercy on me.” Mark 10:46-48
Lord, help us to hear every person who cries out to see spiritual things.
“But Jesus said unto them, A prophet is not without honour, but in his own country, and among his own kin, and in his own house.” Mark 6:4
Thank God for missionaries. I believe in them and support many of them. However, if you want to be one, just make sure it is not because you want to receive the honor that you would not get back home.
“And he said unto them, Take heed what ye hear: with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you: and unto you that hear shall more be given.” Mark 4:24
It is those who want to hear what God says, and obey what they hear, who are the ones who will have the privilege of hearing more.
“Then said his wife unto him, Dost thou still retain thine integrity? curse God, and die.” Job 2:9
In the midst of all Job’s suffering, his wife noticed he retained his integrity. It is way more important of what people see in you then what they say to you.
“Peter answered and said unto him, Though all men shall be offended because of thee, yet will I never be offended. 34Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, That this night, before the cock crow, thou shalt deny me thrice.” Matthew 26:33-34
The more pride a man has and elevates himself above others, declaring that he will not fail like the others, the sooner and more obvious will that fall be. Peter fell that very night and the rooster announced it.
“And they said one to another, Did not our heart burn within us, while he talked with us by the way, and while he opened to us the scriptures?†Luke 24:32
The reason hearts don’t burn in many of the bible studies that are going on is because Jesus is not allowed to open the scriptures unto the people.
“And they were all amazed, insomuch that they questioned among themselves, saying, What thing is this? what new doctrine is this? for with authority commandeth he even the unclean spirits, and they do obey him.” Mark 1:27
People are tired of just hearing doctrine, they need to see it.
