“And Jacob awaked out of his sleep, and he said, Surely the LORD is in this place; and I knew it not. 17And he was afraid, and said, How dreadful is this place! this is none other but the house of God, and this is the gate of heaven. 18And Jacob rose up early in the morning, and took the stone that he had put for his pillows, and set it up for a pillar, and poured oil upon the top of it.” Genesis 28:16-18
Jacob went to sleep one night and woke up the next morning saying, “Surely the Lord is in this place; and I knew it not.” He went on to say, “this is none other but the house of God.” Today, there are millions of people that grew up in church and in the presence of the Lord, but they never quite seem to know it. They have grown numb to the word of God and His presence around them. So saints of God, we must pray for them; we must pray for our children that grow up in our churches. Pray that one day they too will wake up and say, “Surely the LORD’S presence has been with me, How did I not know it?”
“For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ. 13For ye have heard of my conversation in time past in the Jews’ religion, how that beyond measure I persecuted the church of God, and wasted it: 14And profited in the Jews’ religion above many my equals in mine own nation, being more exceedingly zealous of the traditions of my fathers.” Galatians 1:12-14
We desperately need to pray for our church kids. If they don’t get a real revelation of Christ and their need for a savior, they will see our church meetings as their religion. Before Paul had a revelation of Christ, all he had was the Jews religion and the traditions of his fathers. I don’t care if our children carry on our traditions or not, what is of the most importance is that they know this great Christ.
“And said unto them, Whosoever shall receive this child in my name receiveth me: and whosoever shall receive me receiveth him that sent me: for he that is least among you all, the same shall be great.” Lk. 9:48
There is one thing I see children being really good at, and that is being a child. Why would we adults expect them to act like an adult, especially after the Lord says we receive Him when we receive a child in His name?

“And it shall be when thy son asketh thee in time to come, saying, What is this? that thou shalt say unto him, By strength of hand the LORD brought us out from Egypt, from the house of bondage:” Ex. 13:14
Saints, don’t live in complacent Christianity, your children will just yawn. Believe for God to do something great in your life, so your children can ask you in time to come, “what is this?” Then you will be able to answer, by great strength God delivered me from bondage and performed all these wonderful things you see my children.
