Eyesalve: The Famine is Here

By | Eyesalve

Behold, the days come, saith the Lord GOD, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the LORD: 12And they shall wander from sea to sea, and from the north even to the east, they shall run to and fro to seek the word of the LORD, and shall not find it.” Amos 8:11-12

The days of a famine of the word are indeed upon us. No doubt, there are many Christians who are church hoppers, going from church to church looking to satisfy their carnal needs. But times have changed since I got saved over thirty years ago. There are still many Christians who are going from church to church today, except now they are searching for a church where the word of God is preached in Spirit and in truth. God, grant that these desperate hungry believers do find a church where there is a bountiful supply of the word of God.

Eyesalve: Lead The Rebuilding

By | Eyesalve

That Hanani, one of my brethren, came, he and certain men of Judah; and I asked them concerning the Jews that had escaped, which were left of the captivity, and concerning Jerusalem. 3And they said unto me, The remnant that are left of the captivity there in the province are in great affliction and reproach: the wall of Jerusalem also is broken down, and the gates thereof are burned with fire.” Nehemiah 1:2-3

Today is not much different than the days of Nehemiah. I hear reports all the time, not about Jerusalem, but about the church and the desperate state many are in. They may be doing well financially (rich and in need of nothing), but they are spiritually broken down. However, there is a remnant in the midst of this, you may be one of them, who will not be afflicted by this. Some will have to “come out from amongst her.” Some will be rejected by her. These remnant will be the Nehemiahs for our generation who lead the rebuilding of the wall and gates.

Eyesalve: Will They Find Him?

By | Eyesalve

“Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.” Ps. 16:11

Every once in a while a desperate person will enter a church in one last ditch attempt to find God. They may not even know what they are really looking for. But if deep in their heart they are looking for God, may he be found in our churches. The biggest let down on this planet is for a desperate person go to church looking for God and not find Him. If God’s presence is there, there will be fullness of joy.
