“And they departed from the presence of the council, rejoicing that they were counted worthy to suffer shame for his name.” Acts 5:41
How do you react when others, especially family and friends shame you over your love for Jesus? If you don’t handle it very well, be assured that you are on your way to one day rejoicing over it.
“Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father’s house, unto a land that I will shew thee: 2And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing:” Genesis 12:1-2
Many Christians rob themselves of blessings because they are reluctant to come out from family and friends. I will even go so far as to say some need to come out from the dead dry religion that it is many of our churches today. It is bad enough that they miss out on blessings, but even worse is the body of Christ misses out on blessings. Do you see that because Abraham was blessed, it made him a blessing? Come out from among her, get blessed, then be a blessing to us all.
