Eyesalve: If You Yield

By | Eyesalve

Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy,” Jude 1:24

At first glance you may not see how similar this verse in Jude is to Romans 14:17 which says, “For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.” However, these two verses are closely connected. For the Lord “to keep you from falling” means that His righteousness is constantly constraining you. The only way “to present you faultless” is to have the peace of God, otherwise you would fear His presence. And last, you can live a life of “exceeding joy.” All of this is yours if your life is yielded to the Holy Ghost.

Eyesalve: Righteousness Going Before Us

By | Eyesalve

Then shall thy light break forth as the morning, and thine health shall spring forth speedily: and thy righteousness shall go before thee; the glory of the LORD shall be thy rereward.” Isaiah 58:8

Wow, is it possible that before we already show up somewhere, that our righteousness can precede us? Let it be so Lord. Let it be that no matter where we go, that no matter who sees us, they already know we are clothed in your righteousness Lord.

Eyesalve: His Inheritance

By | Eyesalve

But last of all he sent unto them his son, saying, They will reverence my son. 38But when the husbandmen saw the son, they said among themselves, This is the heir; come, let us kill him, and let us seize on his inheritance.” Matthew 21:37-38

Jesus, who knows the heart of man, delivers this parable that exposes the heart of the Pharisees, Sadducees and religious leaders. They wanted to seize Jesus’ inheritance. What is the inheritance? It is glory. They wanted to receive the glory and hated Jesus because he received it. Today Jesus sits at the right hand of glory.

Eyesalve: The Presence of the Lord (#3)

By | Eyesalve

“Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.” Ps. 16:11

When we assemble together, we need the Lord to be present in such a way that we can feel the life and love of His presence. If the Lord is present in such a way these three things will be evident in God’s people.

1. Spirit of joy that wells up in the believers. For the kingdom of God is righteousness, peace and JOY in the Holy Ghost.

2. There will be a renewed desire to seek God more and know Him more. The more you taste Him the more you want of Him.

3. There will be a renewed desire to live for God. The other things of this world will lose their luster and “grow strangely dim, in the light of His glory and grace.”

Eyesalve: The Greatest Pleasure

By | Eyesalve

“Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.” Ps. 16:11

The greatest purpose of man is to give glory to God. The greatest pleasure of man is to be in the presence of the Lord.

Eyesalve: From Glory to Glory

By | Eyesalve

“But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.” II Cor. 3:18

Religion expects a quick outward change of an individual. Liberalism expects no change. But the changing of the inner man which is conformity to the image of Christ, is the real change. This change happens from glory to glory.
