“And there went out a champion out of the camp of the Philistines, named Goliath, of Gath, whose height was six cubits and a span.” I Samuel 17:4
If Jesus Christ is your Champion, then you will never fear the devils champion.
“Whom God hath raised up, having loosed the pains of death: because it was not possible that he should be holden of it…32This Jesus hath God raised up, whereof we all are witnesses. Acts 2:24, 32
Twice in Peter’s less than three minute sermon, he mentioned the resurrection of Jesus Christ. This is a theme that has been forgotten today by some of those who share the gospel with the lost. I believe I could say, if the resurrection is not preached, then the gospel is not being preached.
“Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.” Romans 8:34
In the last Eyesalve, we saw that the Devil goes before God, day and night, to accuse us. Be encouraged saints because there is also One there on your behalf. He is sitting on the right hand of the Father. He is Jesus Christ the righteous. Jesus is there interceding for you and for me. Hallelujah.
“And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.” Matthew 16:18
The church is built upon the rock of the truth that Jesus Christ is the Son of the Living God. When we preach the truth, we then become the building blocks (rocks) that Christ can use to build His church.
“And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.” Matthew 16:18
Our generation has forgotten that Jesus Christ is the One who builds the church.
“His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.” Matthew 25:21
To enter “into the joy of thy Lord” Jesus Christ, you have to first be saved by Jesus Christ the Savior. Yet the verse does not say, enter into the joy of thy Savior. So I ask, is He your Lord?
“And the house, when it was in building, was built of stone made ready before it was brought thither: so that there was neither hammer nor axe nor any tool of iron heard in the house, while it was in building.” I Kings 6:7
“Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ” (I Peter 2:5).
Only lively stones can be used to build the spiritual house of God.
“I John, who also am your brother, and companion in tribulation, and in the kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ, was in the isle that is called Patmos, for the word of God, and for the testimony of Jesus Christ.” Rev. 1:9
If you declare the word of God as the absolute truth and if your testimony is Jesus Christ, then at times you will feel like you are on an island. It will be and has always been that the more you pursue Christ, the less people there are who will join you.
“The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John:”
Thank the Lord that He still shows us things. Will you see them?
