Eyesalve: The Ultimate Mercy

By | Eyesalve

Who is a God like unto thee, that pardoneth iniquity, and passeth by the transgression of the remnant of his heritage? he retaineth not his anger for ever, because he delighteth in mercy.” Micah 7:18

Shame on any believer who does not show mercy toward others. God delights in mercy, so must every believer. However, there is one huge difference between man’s mercy and God’s. Only God has the authority to pardon iniquity. You and I can show the utmost mercy toward anyone who has offended us. We can even forgive them for any terrible things they have done to us and not require for them to make it up to us. But we can never forgive anyone to the extent that we can pardon them for their offenses against God. The whole point I am making is never be satisfied with the mercy you show towards others as if that somehow makes them right before God. It indeed makes you right, but continue to pray and point those people toward the One who can forgive them of all their transgressions and receive from Him the ultimate mercy, mercy from God. Hallelujah

Eyesalve: Grace to Obtain

By | Uncategorized

For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. 16Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.” Hebrews 4:15-16

By grace we are saved. By grace we get help in the time of need. Grace is not for salvation alone, grace is needed to continue to obtain mercy, live for God and have victory over sin.

Eyesalve: Help Us To Hear

By | Eyesalve

And they came to Jericho: and as he went out of Jericho with his disciples and a great number of people, blind Bartimaeus, the son of Timaeus, sat by the highway side begging. 47And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out, and say, Jesus, thou Son of David, have mercy on me. 48And many charged him that he should hold his peace: but he cried the more a great deal, Thou Son of David, have mercy on me.” Mark 10:46-48

Lord, help us to hear every person who cries out to see spiritual things.

Eyesalve: Nick of Time

By | Eyesalve

“But the other answering rebuked him, saying, Dost not thou fear God, seeing thou art in the same condemnation? 41And we indeed justly; for we receive the due reward of our deeds: but this man hath done nothing amiss. 42And he said unto Jesus, Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom. 43And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, To day shalt thou be with me in paradise.” Lk. 23:40-43

Scoffers would complain how unfair it is for a convict to live a whole life as a scoundrel and then get to go to heaven at the last few hours of his life. The person with a heart of mercy would rejoice that a convict could still get to go to heaven right up to the closing hours of his life. God is always willing to save a soul, even to the point where He has to have them hung on a cross next to His Son’s cross. That is what you call, “in the nick of time.”

Eyesalve: Even In Judgment

By | Eyesalve

“The LORD is known by the judgment which he executeth: the wicked is snared in the work of his own hands. Higgaion. Selah.” Ps. 9:16

Even in judgment God’s displays mercy, for in judgment God reveals Himself to the wicked that they may see Him in His righteousness and repent.

Eyesalve: Taking Advantage of Grace

By | Eyesalve

And Moses said unto the LORD, See, thou sayest unto me, Bring up this people: and thou hast not let me know whom thou wilt send with me. Yet thou hast said, I know thee by name, and thou hast also found grace in my sight. 13Now therefore, I pray thee, if I have found grace in thy sight, shew me now thy way, that I may know thee, that I may find grace in thy sight: and consider that this nation is thy people.” Ex. 33:12-13

Moses is reminding God of the grace that he has shed on him. You could say that Moses is taking advantage of the grace of God, he is using it to move the heart of God. However, Moses is not taking advantage of grace like some do and think it is a permission to sin, he is pleading God’s grace for three reasons.

1. That God would show Moses the way.
2. That He might know Him more.
3. That God would have mercy on the nation of Israel.
