“For thus saith the high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity, whose name is Holy; I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones.” Isaiah 57:15

 

It is our tendency to try to fix or even throw away broken things. Our society for the most part just throws money and programs at broken people to get them out of their hair. The only answer for broken people is Almighty God. Brokenness is His specialty. He takes broken lives and makes them better than brand new.

Eyesalve: To Much

“And Moses gave commandment, and they caused it to be proclaimed throughout the camp, saying, Let neither man nor woman make any more work for the offering of the sanctuary. So the people were restrained from bringing. 7For the stuff they had was sufficient for all the work to make it, and too much.” Ex. 36:6-7

I recently heard that one of these rich popular preachers asked his church to help make him a billionaire. I’ve noticed these prosperity preachers are no different than the rich people of this world, they can never seem to get enough money. Well they need to know that even God said there was no more need to collect anymore offerings. He even said what came in was already “to much.” If you are content with Christ, then what you have is sufficient. If you are not content with Christ, then you can never have enough.
