Know the One it Came From

By | Eyesalve

But now our soul is dried away: there is nothing at all, beside this manna, before our eyes.” Numbers 11:6

What do they mean, “there is nothing at all?” It says that this manna was before their eyes. I guess their eyes were so dull they couldn’t really see what they had before them. It is because they only saw and ate the manna, but never wanted to see and know the One it came from.

Eyesalve: For Themselves

By | Eyesalve

And said unto the woman, Now we believe, not because of thy saying: for we have heard him ourselves, and know that this is indeed the Christ, the Saviour of the world.” John 4:42

New believers must move from believing what we say about God, to hearing and seeing God for themselves.

Eyesalve: Help Us To Hear

By | Eyesalve

And they came to Jericho: and as he went out of Jericho with his disciples and a great number of people, blind Bartimaeus, the son of Timaeus, sat by the highway side begging. 47And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out, and say, Jesus, thou Son of David, have mercy on me. 48And many charged him that he should hold his peace: but he cried the more a great deal, Thou Son of David, have mercy on me.” Mark 10:46-48

Lord, help us to hear every person who cries out to see spiritual things.

Eyesalve: What They See

By | Eyesalve

Then said his wife unto him, Dost thou still retain thine integrity? curse God, and die.” Job 2:9

In the midst of all Job’s suffering, his wife noticed he retained his integrity. It is way more important of what people see in you then what they say to you.

Eyesalve: See It

By | Eyesalve

And they were all amazed, insomuch that they questioned among themselves, saying, What thing is this? what new doctrine is this? for with authority commandeth he even the unclean spirits, and they do obey him.” Mark 1:27

People are tired of just hearing doctrine, they need to see it.

Eyesalve: He Still Shows Us

By | Eyesalve

The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John:”

Thank the Lord that He still shows us things. Will you see them?

Eyesalve: Not Religion, But Jesus

By | Eyesalve

There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews: 2The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him. 3Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” Jn. 3:1-3

Jesus in a sense was saying to Nicodemus, “you don’t really know what you think you know; you are limited in what you see and hear.” I believe this is the reason Nicodemus sought out the Lord, because he wanted to see, hear and know the truth. Religion cannot offer that, only the Lord Jesus Christ can. Do you really see, hear and know Him?

Eyesalve: Then You Will See

By | Eyesalve

There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews: 2The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him. 3Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” Jn. 3:1-3

Nicodemus thought he understood something about Jesus. He thought he saw something about Jesus when he realized that He could not do those miracles unless He was sent from God. But Jesus said you cannot see anything pertaining to the kingdom until you are born again. You can understand something with the intellect and see something with natural understanding, but is not the same as seeing when you are born again. When you are born again you can see the kingdom now.

Eyesalve: Do You Want To See?

By | Eyesalve

“And he, casting away his garment, rose, and came to Jesus. 51And Jesus answered and said unto him, What wilt thou that I should do unto thee? The blind man said unto him, Lord, that I might receive my sight.” Mk. 10:50-51

Many Christians lack eyes to see spiritual things. If you want to see them you have to be like the blind man and want to see.

Eyesalve: They May Need To See #2

By | Eyesalve

“Then saith he to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into my side: and be not faithless, but believing. 28And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God. 29Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.” Jn. 20:27-29

A person will be more blessed if they believe without seeing, but if it takes seeing a miracle to keep someone out of hell, then let them see it Lord. I would rather be rebuked for needing to see a miracle before I believe, than not believing at all.
