Eyesalve: God is Still marking

By | Eyesalve

And the glory of the God of Israel was gone up from the cherub, whereupon he was, to the threshold of the house. And he called to the man clothed with linen, which had the writer’s inkhorn by his side; 4And the LORD said unto him, Go through the midst of the city, through the midst of Jerusalem, and set a mark upon the foreheads of the men that sigh and that cry for all the abominations that be done in the midst thereof.” Eze. 9:3-4

God is still marking those today who not only refrain from sin, but those who sigh over those who fall from the Lord and cry out for them.

Eyesalve: Conviction

By | Eyesalve

“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.” Rom. 10:9

One of the meanings of the word “believe” is to have conviction. Conviction is that inner voice or impression that insists you just can’t do something you shouldn’t do, or you know you just can’t go that way. If you obey your godly convictions, you won’t sin. If you don’t sin, you don’t have to face being convicted.

Eyesalve: Do Not Despise Them

By | Eyesalve

“And she said unto her mistress, Would God my lord were with the prophet that is in Samaria! for he would recover him of his leprosy.” II Ki. 5:3

Though Naaman was a leper, the little maid did not despise her master. In fact, she had great compassion on him and desired for him to see the prophet in Israel so he could be healed. Saints, we must never despise the lepers in this world, after all, we were once a spiritual leper (sinner) ourselves. We must have compassion on the lost souls in this world, hating their sin because it is destroying their soul, but loving their souls enough that we would pray for and preach Christ to them.

Eyesalve: God Loves To Forgive

By | Eyesalve

“The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.” Jn 1:29

Grace does not make God change His mind about sin, nor does it cause God to look the other way when we sin. Grace is that God LOVES TO FORGIVE SIN. Grace sent “the Lamb of God which taketh away the sin of the world.”

Eyesalve: The Best Deal

By | Eyesalve

“For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.” II Cor. 5:21

Many years ago while working on one of my customers house, a man came walking up the alley and came to me holding a $50.00 bill. He said it would be worth it to him to give me that money if I would go down to his house and put a couple nails in his loose aluminum fascia. So I grabbed my ladder and walked down a few houses and climbed up and nailed his trim in place. The whole ordeal probably took about five minutes. When he saw how fast I did it I could tell he had a change of mind and wished he wouldn’t have offered me so much money. So when he hinted to me about taking less I did. Well I said that to say that we have one who has given us a much better deal. Our God has offered us a deal in which He will take our sins and give us in return, His righteousness. This is the best deal in all the universe. On top of that, he has not changed His mind for 2000 years. Hallelujah!

Eyesalve: The Anointing #4

By | Eyesalve

“Now he which stablisheth us with you in Christ, and hath anointed us, is God;” II Cor. 1:21

We have to remain devoted to God and not be overcome by sin if we are going to remain anointed. Sin and disinterest in God, rob us of God’s anointing which is something that must be maintained on a daily basis by seeking after God.
