Saying, What shall we do to these men? for that indeed a notable miracle hath been done by them is manifest to all them that dwell in Jerusalem; and we cannot deny it.” Acts 4:16

And they were all amazed, and were in doubt, saying one to another, What meaneth this? 13Others mocking said, These men are full of new wine.” Acts 2:12-13

When the Holy Spirit fell on the day of Pentecost, the Spirit gave utterance to them all and they spoke in tongues. There were two responses from the people. The first responders asked, “What does this mean?” The second responders accused them of being drunk. The first responders wanted to know more, they were open to know what it was all about. “Come now therefore, and let us slay him, and cast him into some pit, and we will say, Some evil beast hath devoured him: and we shall see what will become of his dreams.” Gen. 37:20

Those dreams that Joseph had really bothered his brothers. They were afraid they would end up being true. So if they could kill him it would put an end to his dreams. You know, you have to be careful who you share your dreams and promises from God with. There are plenty of skeptics out there that will put you down.
