Eyesalve: The Seeker Sensitive Church

By | Uncategorized

And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.” Jeremiah 29:13

For many years now, I have been working at having a seeker sensitive church. A church where every true seeker of God will be encouraged to be more sensitive to the Spirit of God.

Eyesalve: His Effect

By | Eyesalve

And honour not his father or his mother, he shall be free. Thus have ye made the commandment of God of none effect by your tradition.” Matthew 15:6

There are so many new churches starting up who want to throw out all traditions. Traditions aren’t always the problem. The problem is when traditions make the Spirit of God of none effect. The answer to starting a church is not throwing out the traditions it is in letting the Spirit of God have His effect.

Eyesalve: The Word Teaches, The Spirit Reveals

By | Eyesalve

This is he that came by water and blood, even Jesus Christ; not by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit that beareth witness, because the Spirit is truth.” I Jn. 5:6

The word of God teaches us the truth, the Spirit of God reveals the truth.

Eyesalve: Light Shines #2

By | Eyesalve

Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.” Mt. 5:16

Good works is not the light. The Spirit of God in you is.

Eyesalve: Learn From David

By | Eyesalve

“As for me, I will behold thy face in righteousness: I shall be satisfied, when I awake, with thy likeness.” Psalm 17:15

Every person that has been born again has that inner witness of salvation because the Spirit of God has come to dwell in them. Yet we can learn from David, who was born 1000 years before Christ, what it means to believe. David had no privilege to have that inner witness like we do, yet you can read how confident he was that he would awake in the presence of the Lord. He knew of no salvation through Jesus Christ, yet he believed God that there would be salvation. The payment for sin was not yet understood, yet he believed in the mercy of God. Lord, increase our faith.

Eyesalve: Bringing The Kingdom

By | Eyesalve

“But if I cast out devils by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God is come unto you. 29Or else how can one enter into a strong man’s house, and spoil his goods, except he first bind the strong man? and then he will spoil his house.” Mt. 12:28-29

You don’t bind Satan by telling him that you bind him, you bind that strong man by bringing the kingdom of God at him.
