Eyesalve: Take Advantage

By | Eyesalve

And Moses said, I will now turn aside, and see this great sight, why the bush is not burnt. 4And when the LORD saw that he turned aside to see, God called unto him out of the midst of the bush, and said, Moses, Moses. And he said, Here am I. 5And he said, Draw not nigh hither: put off thy shoes from off thy feet, for the place whereon thou standest is holy ground.” Exodus 3:3-5

Moses, the great man of God, was not permitted to get any closer to the burning bush, for God was there. We are so blessed because God does not stop us from getting close to Him like He did to Moses. For us, who the Holy Spirit dwells in, God will let us get as close to Him as we want. Jesus said, “Come unto Me,” I recommend you take advantage of that.

Eyesalve: Taking Advantage of Grace

By | Eyesalve

And Moses said unto the LORD, See, thou sayest unto me, Bring up this people: and thou hast not let me know whom thou wilt send with me. Yet thou hast said, I know thee by name, and thou hast also found grace in my sight. 13Now therefore, I pray thee, if I have found grace in thy sight, shew me now thy way, that I may know thee, that I may find grace in thy sight: and consider that this nation is thy people.” Ex. 33:12-13

Moses is reminding God of the grace that he has shed on him. You could say that Moses is taking advantage of the grace of God, he is using it to move the heart of God. However, Moses is not taking advantage of grace like some do and think it is a permission to sin, he is pleading God’s grace for three reasons.

1. That God would show Moses the way.
2. That He might know Him more.
3. That God would have mercy on the nation of Israel.
