“The people therefore that was with him when he called Lazarus out of his grave, and raised him from the dead, bare record.” John 12:17
You can be sure that others will bear record of your life. Will that record of you be a testimony of the glorious love and power of God working in your life?
“But the chief priests consulted that they might put Lazarus also to death;” John 12:10
Don’t let the devil put to death your testimony.
“And Jesus answering said unto him, Suffer it to be so now: for thus it becometh us to fulfil all righteousness. Then he suffered him. 16And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him: 17And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.” Matthew 3:15-17
In this setting we read that Jesus spoke, the Spirit landed on Jesus and the Father spoke. This is the greatest testimony of three this world has ever known.
“Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.” Acts 2:47
New converts need to go to church for their own spiritual growth. Mature saints need to go to church so they will continue to grow and be a testimony, blessing and a minister to those who need to grow.
“I John, who also am your brother, and companion in tribulation, and in the kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ, was in the isle that is called Patmos, for the word of God, and for the testimony of Jesus Christ.” Rev. 1:9
If you declare the word of God as the absolute truth and if your testimony is Jesus Christ, then at times you will feel like you are on an island. It will be and has always been that the more you pursue Christ, the less people there are who will join you.
“And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.” Rev. 12:11
There truly is “power in the blood,” and the testimony of how God saved us and what He did for us cannot be denied. Who can tell you that what God did for you isn’t true when you know it is. You just know that you know that you know. And then our ability to overcome concludes with not loving our life unto death. When you reckon yourself dead, you don’t fear death. When you reckon yourself crucified, sin and temptation have no power over you. “…but, whosoever will loses his life for my sake, the same shall save it.”
