Eyesalve: Put On Christ

“And thou shalt make holy garments for Aaron thy brother for glory and for beauty. 3And thou shalt speak unto all that are wise hearted, whom I have filled with the spirit of wisdom, that they may make Aaron’s garments to consecrate him, that he may minister unto me in the priest’s office. 4And these are the garments which they shall make; a breastplate, and an ephod, and a robe, and a broidered coat, a mitre, and a girdle: and they shall make holy garments for Aaron thy brother, and his sons, that he may minister unto me in the priest’s office.”Ex. 28:2-4

It was quite a big deal, the making of all the priestly garb which the Old Testament priests were to wear. The rest of chapter 28 goes into a great detail about these priestly garments. It tells us what kind of material to use, what color, the size and other things. I am sure glad that God made it much simpler in our generation. We are to put on Christ. Hallelujah.
