“Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord:” Heb. 12:14
The bible teaches us to put on the new man, put on Christ and put on the whole armor. The bible does not tell us to put on holiness. We are to follow after and live a holy life. Though you can dress in an unholy way, you cannot dress to make yourself holy. To do that is actually an insult against God. It degrades and takes from the severity of His holiness to think man can just throw on an outfit and that it now puts him on par with God’s holiness.
