Eyesalve: Hear and Tell

By | Eyesalve

And the LORD spake unto Moses, Say unto Aaron, Take thy rod, and stretch out thine hand upon the waters of Egypt, upon their streams, upon their rivers, and upon their ponds, and upon all their pools of water, that they may become blood; and that there may be blood throughout all the land of Egypt, both in vessels of wood, and in vessels of stone.” Exodus 7:19

There are times the Lord spoke to Moses and Aaron. Then there are times the Lord spoke to Moses and said, “say unto Aaron.” This is what is expected out of every preacher. He is to hear from God and tell the people what He said.

Eyesalve: Put On Christ

By | Eyesalve

“And thou shalt make holy garments for Aaron thy brother for glory and for beauty. 3And thou shalt speak unto all that are wise hearted, whom I have filled with the spirit of wisdom, that they may make Aaron’s garments to consecrate him, that he may minister unto me in the priest’s office. 4And these are the garments which they shall make; a breastplate, and an ephod, and a robe, and a broidered coat, a mitre, and a girdle: and they shall make holy garments for Aaron thy brother, and his sons, that he may minister unto me in the priest’s office.”Ex. 28:2-4

It was quite a big deal, the making of all the priestly garb which the Old Testament priests were to wear. The rest of chapter 28 goes into a great detail about these priestly garments. It tells us what kind of material to use, what color, the size and other things. I am sure glad that God made it much simpler in our generation. We are to put on Christ. Hallelujah.
